Aquilonia was one of the most powerful kingdoms of the Hyborian Age. North and west, the Bossonian Marches produced hardy frontiersmen, used to fighting Cimmerian or Pictish raiders, the northern province of Gunderland bred stout-hearted pikemen, while the southern province of Poitain threw up hard-charging knights.

The Black Legion and Black Dragons were Royal Guards units, clad all in black. Allies of Aquilonia include Argos, Ophir and Western Free Companies.

Northern Mercenaries would be wandering Cimmerians and Aesir (from Asgard), enlisting for a time under the King of Aquilonia's banner and might be considered as Viking Bondi or Varangians. The culture of Aquilonia is High Medieval and I have based this list on 100 Years War French/English and Burgundy
