This list represents the fringes of Gaelic Scottish society, from just after the union of the Kingdoms of the Picts and Scots in the late 9th century until the more rise of the feudal Scottish state (roughly 900 AD -1200 AD). At certain times, the Highlands and Galloway were incorporated more or less directly into the Kingdom of Scotland, such as during the reign of MacBeth. However, for the most part, these areas remained fiercely independent and prone to inter-clan warfare. While most wars were waged within the specific regions, Highlanders and Galwegians can be found fighting for and against Scots, Saxons, Vikings, Islemen and, most notably, each other.

Notes: All Core WB may deploy in the Flank zones. All WB are BP 3, Move 9". All WB may throw javelins in the missile fire phase. All WB are subject to Obligatory Charge.

*A Highland army may purchase all or none of the bow-armed WB. A Highland army may purchase only one allied contingent. A Galwegian army may purchase only two bow-armed WB as Highland allies. A Galwegian army may not purchase bow-armed SI.

**If any Scots allies are bought, all must be. Scots allies may not be used with Saxon allies. Scots allied FT may form Shieldwall. Scots Nobles may be purchased as HC or LC, not both.
