This is the army of Argos as depicted in the Hyborian Age of Robert E. Howard.
I have based this list on that of the Italian City States as Argos' wealth, and preference for mercenary, as opposed to native troops, seems reminiscent of late Fourteenth Century Italy.
The banner of Argos features three gold balls centred vertically on a purple field.
Argos was allied with Aquilonia, Ophir, Shem, and the Western and Southern Free Companies.
Note: Argives were the citizens of historical Argos in Greece, Howard used the adjective Argosseans for the inhabitants of his kingdom of Argos.

Argos was one of the richest maritime countries of the Hyborian Age. The bulk of the army consisted of mercenaries. The Core units of Argossean Nobles and Guards should have gilded armour and shields as they were the 'elite of the elite'.
Barrachan Pirates were Argossean exiles and adventurers, based in the Baracha Isles, who plundered the western seaboard of Hyboria. When it was politically expedient, they might serve with an Argossean field army.
Barabarian Foot were probably bands of Northern barbarians hired by the state.
