Jurchen or Khitan Liao

This list can be used to represent the various iterations of Jurchen, Liao, Khitan Liao and Quara-Khitan armies between 907 AD to 1125 and then through to 1211 AD and on to 1234 AD. As such, it can fight opponents in both the Triumph of Cavalry and Age of Chivalry eras.

*If the Bonus Cat +3 protection are bought, a HC FV4 must also be purchased.

Allied HC are Uighur, Tanguts or other allied Turkish tribes & cannot be fielded with any Chinese Subject troops (except Conscripts).

LC FV2 are either lighter Ordo troops or allied Turks etc.

Subject LC would be either unenthusiastic conquered Mongol tribal troops e.g. Tatar, Onguts, Merkits, etc. [FV1 represents their lack of enthusiasm] or allied Central Asian/Silk Road horse archers – such as Khwarizmshah - who were armed only with bow.

Subject HC Bows are Muslim Central Asian troops (they do not receive charge impetus); NB: for each HC Bows purchased, 2 LC FV1 must be bought.

Subject HC Spear are either Chinese or Muslim Central Asian troops.

Subject LHI swordsmen and Subject FT X-bows are Chinese. NB: X-bow can be replaced with Bow at no additional cost to represent Jurchen/Khitan regular foot.

Other FT are either Jurchen/Khitan regulars or Chinese Subjects armed with polearms or spears.

Levy are conscripted Chinese or Muslim peasants. They were particularly prevalent in early Khitan armies but less so in Quara-Khitan forces. Therefore, no more than 1 Levy may be fielded if any HC*(Subjects) armed with Bows are bought. If any Levy are fielded they must all be fielded in a single Heavy Division.

Subject Chinese and Jurchen/Khitan FT cannot be fielded in the same army as any Muslim troops.

If no Subject LHI are bought they do not count towards the totals for the additional Light Division rule.

This army may fight in both the Triumph of Cavalry and Age of Chivalry Eras.
