This army represents the resurgent Pergamene state ruled by the Attalids. This army, which fought against and defeated the theretofore undefeated Galatians was a small but well trained force with a high ratio of horse to pike.

* During this period there was a growing use of heavy peltasts as melee troops. The Core Mercenary Thureophoroi may be deployed as LI, LHI, or PH at the beginning of the game (Chose 4 units from the three lines, not to exceed 28 points). Once deployed they may not be redeployed.
** Indicates troops that may only be used after 189 BC, representing the settlement of the Seleucids to the Pergamene rulers after Magnesia when Pergamum expanded the kingdom.
***Bonus Thureophoroi may be purchased as either LI or as LHI at the start of the game. A player may choose to purchase no more than two Bonus Thereophoroi in any combination of LI and/or LHI. Bonus Thureophoroi LHI are key units.
Galatian WB are BP 4with a move of 6 inches.
If any Achaeans are bought all must be bought.
