* Rajput & Afghans cannot be used in the same army. If Afghan or Rajput foot are bought, Rajput or Afghan HC must be bought. All Rajputs are subject to obligatory charge & cannot break-off.
Afghan HC are subject to obligatory charge (but can break-off). If any Rajput are bought, Afghan LHI can be disregarded for the additional Light Division rule.
** Most observers had a very poor opinion of native Indian LC - so despite them being depicted with shields & javelins as well as bows - they have a low FV1 to represent this.
***All WB are BP 3, move 9.
**** Indian armies are all depicted as being preceded by a 'cloud' of very poor quality skirmishers. Hence the SI (Levy) are costed at 1 pt each (& they must be bought in pairs) and are armed with various assorted weapons - which do not count as javelins. These SI (Levy) can be disregarded for the additional Light Division rule.
Rajput Horse were generally relatively few in number and consisted of mixed retinue troops - some fully armoured on armoured & unarmoured horses and some partially or even unarmoured. Hence I've classified them as +1 protection - but the unit can be depicted as a colourful mix of mounted troop types.
