Pyrrhic Armies 280BC to 272BC

Pyrrhus was one of histories great ephemerals. Powerful in battle but having no lasting effect on history.

Known mainly for raising the army that clashed so bloodily with the emergent Romans. If a little less flexible tactically, Pyrrhus did seem a little quicker on his feet. It isn't his fault he had an opponent who refused to give up.

Galatians and Molossians were recruited after Pyrrhus left Italy.

It is possible to argue that Pyrrhus gained his elephants either from Demetrius or from Ptolemy. Therefore, a choice of either type of elephant is given.
