The Devil's Horsemen - Mongol Russian Campaign Army

This is an attempt to simulate the Mongol army that conquered Russia and invaded Europe. It was somewhat unusual in that Ogodei by means of a quriltai ordered almost all of the altun urug to attend with their personal retinues. One could simulate this by an increase in the control ratings in general or by an increase in heavy divisions. I suppose one could just as easily argue for H3, L6 but my thought was that the retinues of the altun urug were probably very well equipped by this time.

*Kharc (black bones lineage people) are common people, low people, subordinates. FV 1(0)0 LC must not outnumber FV 2(0)0 LC.

LC dismount as SI with a BP of 2, an FV of 2(1)1, a Prot of +2, and are armed with a bow with an 18 inch range. When dismounted they have the same arc of fire as foot bows despite retaining the shorter range of mounted bows. Dismounted LC remain key units. Dismounted LC are SI in all other respects including dispersal and missile drop off.

No more than one in three mounted units that are permitted to dismount may do so at any one time. i.e. one in three LC may dismount, 1 in 3 Mongol HC may dismount. The ratio is calculated based upon the actual number of mounted units permitted to dismount in the army selected from the list and not on the number of such units in the entire list.
