Koth was one of the most southerly of the Hyborian Kingdoms.

Both O'Connor and Stelzer comment on the 'Byzantine' appearance of the Kothian army, Bizar only says that Koth has a 'medieval' feel to it. On the edge of the Hyborian sphere, and nestled between Shem and Turan, Koth would probably have mixed elements from all three cultures' military science.

I have based the army of Koth loosely on the Nikephorian Byzantine.

Nomad Spahis are armoured and lance-armed light cavalry. The Black Guard are a form of praetorian guard recruited from the Black states south of Stygia (probably mainly Kushites). All Kothian troops are heavily armoured.

Uniforms favour shades of white with yellow trim.

The banner of Koth was a black triangle on a yellow field.

Koth was allied to Shem, Ophir, Corinthia and the Western Free Companies.
