* The combined total of Bonus Kushan HC and Bonus LHI may not exceed 6 units. Core units do not count against this limitation. Iranian HC are not included within this limitation. Both Bonus Nobles and Bonus Lesser Nobles are included within this limitation. The Kushan had to be adept at going from mounted troops to foot troops with regular practice as a result of the terrain they lived and fought in using the same units. Therefore, one may pick Bonus HC and Bonus LHI in any combination that does not exceed a total of six Bonus HC and LHI units exclusive of Iranian or Indian HC and any Core HC units. This decision must be made while purchasing bonus units and terrain and before set up.

If one elects to dismount the HC(d!) at deployment, they become FT with an increased Frontal and Special FV by 1 and a BP of 3. They retain their original Prot value. They retain their bows but with a range of 18 inches. Inasmuch as the LHI are intended to simulate dismounted cavalry, the range of the LHI bows is also 18 inches rather than the usual 24 inches for infantry bows.

** These are Indo-Scythian Saka, a typical Iranian steppe people. For each Bonus Iranian HC unit that is bought, two (2) Bonus LC Iranian units must be bought to accompany their betters. However, Iranian LC may be purchased without purchasing any Iranian HC. Iranians may not be used against Sassanids as they controlled most of the local steppe peoples of the time. Iranians may be used against Parthians. Iranians may always be used in tournaments.

*** The Indians must be purchased as a package. If you buy any Indians, you must purchase all of the Indians.

**** If fighting an Indian opponent, the RG can be traded for another woods with the additional loss of one optional Bonus steep hill. If fighting a steppe opponent, reduce the number of available steep hills to one.

This army may also be used in the Triumph of Cavalry.
