Perhaps the real survivors among the Successors.
This list covers the Ptolemaic armies from Ptolemy I Soter through Ptolemy IV Philopater but does not include the later armies of Cleopatra's era or the reforms of Ptolemy V Epiphanes if the later reforms existed.

* These two lines include classes of Ptolemaic subjects liable for military service that changed in composition and that were ultimately integrated over time. The lines include ethnic Egyptian machimoi, kleruchoi, epigonoi, stratiotoi, katoikoi, laarchiai, and the later generic machimoi depending on the date of the army. As the Ptolemaic dynasty matured, the distinctions based upon ethnic or national origin in the army blurred and probably disappeared insofar as perceived and real effectiveness as military units goes. As the initial distinctions blurred over time, the actual composition of the various classes and of the military units composed thereof became integrated although it remained a death penalty offense to lie about one's national origins.

The list authors suggest that those gamers seeking to use this army in a historical fashion limited controlled PH units to only two divisions. For tournament play, the player is free to distribute PH units without such restriction
